3 paintings, 1 canvas ~ Ultimate Nurture

My crazy creative little 9 year old son threw an idea at me a few weeks ago when we were in the craft store: three paintings on one canvas! I LOVED it instantly! 3 paintings (so naturally, I chose baby-wearing, breastfeeding and co-sleeping), living together on one canvas. I am having fun with the three compositions, but they are also proving to be quite a challenge. Here are some process shots. Still LOTS more to do! I love when my heart is grabbed by a new idea. I think I’m going to name her From Moment To Moment, she is 15×30″.

The new mini original painting for this week is called Ultimate Nurture ~ the Ultimate Nurture is embracing and tending to the child within us. Thank you to the very talented Kate White of Kate White Music for getting me thinking about this important subject again. It’s been a little while.
