I’ve been thinking about the children being separated from their mothers at the border, I can only imagine the heart strings being ripped, the souls being tortured by separation. I pray that bonds will remain, challenged but unbroken, and that the children will very soon find their way back into their parents’ arms – what a joyful and blissful reunion that will be! My heart breaks for them all, and I hug my boys tighter and reach out with gentle touches every time we are near.
Once a mother, always a mother ~ a mother to our own children but also intuitively protecting and watching over the children of others. They are all to be loved: our children, THE children, any child. Our hearts respond when we hear a child cry out with pain or fear, any child – it’s in our blood once we’ve experienced the creation of life. Quite possibly just because we are women, quite possibly just because we are human…
The FIRST painting in the brand-new Kindred Collection is complete – her name is Any Child.
The second painting will be released NEXT Thursday ~ and I will be showing snapshots and video progress of these paintings on my Instagram and Facebook pages – also my Instagram Stories, which is so fun.

Thank you for taking the time to read along!
Do you WANT to email me a photo that you’d like to see painted in the Kindred Collection? I’ll give a free print to each mama whose photo is chosen, of the final painting inspired by her photo. That’s just common kindness 😊 😊 😊
Love & Sincerely, Katie
Also, a new custom painting I finished last week:
Perseverance & Selflessness Create Warmth Within A Storm was finished this month as a very special gift for a strong and determined mother and grandmother, who guided their three children carefully and safely through life despite the storms that come along with loss and judgement ❤ a gift to celebrate two special women for their hard work, love, vision, warmth and focus. Thank you R.A. ~ it’s been a pleasure creating with you.
