There are 3 left… three final 10×10’s for The Forty Minis Collection. I won’t kid you and tell you that I am going to start a new collection of small paintings directly after – because I’m not. I’m exhausted of small paintings. I’m ready to work on the big ones ~ the big paintings that can speak to a whole room.

I started the 85 8x8s Collection in February of 2009, then moved right onto the The Forty Minis Collection with a four week break to release 4 Limited Edition Giclees in November 2009.

The Forty Minis Collection began on December 3, 2009 and is ending September 9, 2010.

The entire 85 8x8s Collection has sold, and there are currently 7 paintings available within the Forty Minis Collection.

This has been entirely fun and a phenomenal learning experience for me ~ I am, everyday, cherishing the amazing mothers and fathers, friends, collectors and fans that I have met through building these two collections.

Beginning after September 9, I will no longer send a weekly email, but an email every other week (or so) ~ with progress of each month’s large painting, special offers, events and new products.

Join the email list to be sure and get your emails!

Today, I had three paintings blooming inside me ~ luckily, as I prepared the studio for them, they became richer and more fortified – tonight I let them each out onto their own little canvas. They are the next three (and last three) 10×10 paintings, in random order.

One celebrating the first moments after birth (far right), working title “new world”. One of a sweet chubby child feeding his mama, working title “bread”. One dealing with letting a young one become a more-grown-up one (center).

Always the Emotion First: these paintings started as sketches that were churned out through emotion. The gut feeling comes first, the urge to get something out.

The Free Cards Winner for last week is Lizzy, thank you for playing!

Love & Sincerely, Katie
